Bangladesh Premier League Champions: 2012 to 2024 Winners
BPL is the Bangladesh professional T20 league containing seven franchises. This is out of the three professional leagues happening in the country. After the regular season, a particular team qualifies for the first four teams for the playoff, and after that the qualifier games are played out. The Bangladesh Premier League season started in the year 2012 and has been running since then. Here is the list of winners for every Bangladesh Premier League season.
2012
In the inaugural season, Dhaka Gladiators won the title by defeating the title win from Barisal Burners at the last while chasing 141 runs within the given overs of 15.4, Dhaka Gladiators have their win on 8 wickets and Shakib Al Hasan, the man who plays the series first-season as they played in six different teams of the teams but they featured in league cup.
2013
Seven teams participated in the second edition, and Dhaka again lifted the trophy. Dhaka Gladiators scored 172/9 while batting first in the final. Chittagong Kings were bowled out for only 129 runs while chasing and lost the match by 43 runs. Shakib Al Hasan was the player of the tournament for this edition also.
2015
In the season of 2015, Comilla Victorians secured their first title by finishing the league with 6 teams. They have also beaten Barisal Bulls in last-ball finish by 3 wickets. Ashar Zaidi bagged player of the tournament in third season.

2016
In the fourth edition, Dhaka Dynamites won the trophy beating the Rajshahi Kings of 56 runs. This season’s player of the tournament was Mahmudullah Riyad of Khulna Titans.
2017
While batting first, in the last match of the 2017 edition, Rangpur Riders scored a thunderous 206/1. Dhaka Dynamites while losing could manage only 149/9 by which margin of 57 runs, Rangpur got up to take the day. Chris Gayle who was awarded the player of the tournament was in the winner’s side category.
2019
Comilla Victorians were the winner of BPL for the second time in the sixth edition of BPL. Dhaka Dynamites had lost the final match to Comilla Victorians by 17 runs but chased 200 runs on 182/9. This time, Shakib Al Hasan was the man of the tournament.
2020
They had a breakthrough season for the first term of this tournament and subsequently won it in 2020. Chasing, they muster up 170/4 for the last by restricting Khulna Tigers to 149/8. For the league season, Andre Russell of Rajshahi Royals is the man of the tournament.
2022
Comilla Victorians claimed the 2022 BPL trophy in the last match in a suspenseful thriller against Fortune Barishal. The match did not come off the cliffhangers till the very last ball. Shakib Al Hasan of Barishal won the Player of the Tournament. He gave tremendous all-round performance by scoring 284 runs and getting 16 wickets, but despite this, fortune did not smile at the Barishal team; they lost the final. Comilla Victorians grabbed the trophy by proving themselves dominant in the league.

2023
In 2023, Imrul Kayes led Comilla Victorians to another trophy win. Sylhet Strikers had a poor tournament season. Strikers batted first in the final, setting up a competitive target of 175 runs. Comilla’s bowlers gave them little time, and they were required to chase down just four balls remaining. They stunned everyone to their victory. In this manner, Comilla proved consistent throughout the season, hence showing champion spirits.
2024
Fortune Barishal, led by Tamim Iqbal, finally achieved their maiden BPL title in 2024. They had to face the three-time champions Comilla Victorians in an electrifying final. Barishal had a good run during the league stage, finishing third with seven wins from 12 matches. They reached the final after two impressive wins, the Eliminator and Qualifier 2. In the finale, Tamim Iqbal scored a crucial 39 off 26 balls. Kyle Mayers hit a 46 off 30 balls; it was the target of 155, chased by six wickets remaining for the side of Barishal. It was an initial time for Barishal in the history of victory of a BPL champion.
