What happened in Bangladesh Premier League last season
Fortune Barishal won three back to back games in the playoffs, winning the Bangladesh Premier League title for 2024. The first was when they defeated Chattogram Challengers seven wickets to win with 31 balls still remaining, while the second qualifier saw them whitewash Rangpur Riders.
In the last match, Barishal chased down the set target of 155 decided by Comilla Victorians, and out of six, Barishal got the result on winning and another over was there as well.
Rangpur Riders dominated the league stage of the tournament, topping the list with 18 points, and at second place was Comilla Victorians with 16 points. Fortune Barishal and Chattogram Challengers ended at 14 each.
This was Fortune Barishal’s first title.
